The speach presented describes how to improve plant Maintenance Management taking advantage of the right preventive maintenance plans and predictive methodologies in order to reach best reliability performances.

A case study about a paper machine bearing damage will also be presented in order to show the power of PdM technologies and in particular online vibration monitoring systems in terms of diagnosing and RUL (Remaining Useful Life) estimate.
