ISE presents the project carried out in the Liberty Magona plant in Piombino for the implementation of an On-Line Monitoring system for the Tandem Rolling Mill; the system developed for this strategic plant has brought important results in terms of increasing reliability and reducing unexpected stops.

ABSTRACT

Modern systems for data acquisition, monitoring and diagnostics are evolving rapidly, also driven by Industry 4.0. This evolution has made it possible to significantly broaden the areas of application of these systems to ensure increasingly high levels of reliability and availability of critical systems.

The project developed in collaboration between Liberty Magona and ISE is a valid example of this innovative application of ON-Line Monitoring systems.

In fact, Liberty Magona’s need to implement a remote condition monitoring system on a strategic plant to increase the reliability of the plant itself met with a valid ally in the solutions and in the ISE team.
